💬 POSTOST CAFÉ - Deportation and Distance
There is a new lecture and reading series in town! PostOst Café is an initiative integrated into the emerging Zentrum für Antislawismusforschung, which aims to incorporate the realm of Eastern Europe into the German decolonial and anti-racist discourse.
On 16th of April (7:30 pm) the first lecture event on the topic of “Deportation and Distance” will take place, exploring the enduring impact of deportation, persecution, and forced labor in Eastern Europe, discussing their political relevance, intergenerational effects, and artistic responses to healing. 🥟 C*SPACE DINNER SOCIAL CLUB x KITCHEN CONVERSATIONS
This event in Weißensee’s new creative co-working space C*SPACE has it all: a dinner spent with interesting people, home-cooked Georgian food, an interactive cookbook presentation full of Polish recipes and a film screening. All in one night, hosted by Kitchen Conversations Podcast-Host and author of the said cookbook Patrycja Rozwora and C*SPACE program & communications manager Katya Romanova. 💭 KYIV BIENNIAL 2024 - Why (This) War? Psychoanalysis of War – Psychoanalysis in War
As part of Kyiv Biennial, a European public program aiming to reintegrate the Ukrainian artistic community, a panel discussion on psychoanalytical perspective on the war in Ukraine will take place on 20th of April. “War is a mentally complex, fragile, and changing phenomenon; the suffering caused by war is incredibly diverse; war creates an urgent demand for unity and poses a major threat of social disorder, disintegration, and decline.” Find out more on the Biennial website.
