This is your reminder: Make sure to use your vote on 9th of June in the elections for the 10th European Parliament. EU citizens aged 16 or over can vote, provided they are registered in their home municipality. It is also possible to vote by post or from abroad.

🗣️Panel Discussion: European Elections in the shadow of war
The Project Group for Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe (BPB) invites you to the panel discussion "European Elections in the Shadow of War: Results and Perspectives" on June 10, 2024, at 6:30 PM. This event, part of the "Up to East" series, will examine the impact of the ongoing war in Ukraine on the European elections and discuss potential shifts in EU political dynamics and security policies. Experts Julia Langbein (ZOiS), Veronika Anghel (Johns Hopkins University and European University Institute), and Michał Sutowski (Political Scientist) will discuss these issues.

Novastan's contemporary art exhibition "Central Asia Here and Now" offers insights and fresh perspectives on the region(s) of Central Asia through contemporary art and photography, featuring artists like Taalaikul Sydykbaeva and Syinat Zholdosheva. This exhibition highlights the often overlooked Central Asian perspectives in public, creative, and academic discourse. The exhibition is held at Kulturfabrik Moabit until the 15th of June with a short film screening event on June 8th.

A humorous cinematic city trip that delves into Berlin life, carried by its great background music.

The exhibition "Gastarbeiter 2.0 – Arbeit Means Rad" is a collaboration between cultural workers from the former Yugoslavia and Germany, exploring work, migration, and class issues. The term "rad" means "work" in South Slavic languages. The exhibition critically examines these themes through migration experiences and cultural work, featuring four segments: Transfer, Symbiosis, Alienation, and Body. Running until June 16th, the exhibition includes a tour on the 8th and concludes with a finissage with stand-up comedy on June 14th.
